This package includes visits to archaeological sites and activities that will bring you closer to the local culture with a specialized tour guide! In addition, you will be able to enjoy delicious Peruvian cuisine (at your own cost) and buy beautiful souvenirs from local producers.
Day 1 - Sacred Valley
We will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 7:50 a.m. and travel for an hour to the artisan market of Qorao. Here you will be able to appreciate the ingenuity of the Andean artists.
Then we will head towards the small town of Písac. During the ride, we will make some stops for you to take incredible photographs. In Písac you will discover an incredible archaeological site and shop at one of the largest traditional markets in the region. We recommend you take advantage of the good prices here!
At approximately 12:30 p.m. We will leave for the town of Urubamba. On the way we will pass through beautiful towns and villages such as Coya, Lamay and Calca. In Urubamba we will enjoy a delicious lunch (cost not included in the tour). You can book your lunch with us, bring a packed lunch, or choose a different restaurant of your preference.
After an hour, we will take you to the town of Ollantaytambo, considered the last Inca city because its streets maintain the original layout of 5 centuries ago. In addition, there we will visit an impressive archaeological site.
After having known the most beautiful corners of Ollantaytambo we will go to the station. There you will board the train that will take you from the Andean mountains to Machu Picchu Pueblo (also known as Aguas Calientes) where we will arrive according to the departure time from Ollantaytambo.
In Aguas Calientes, our staff will be waiting for to take you to your pre-reserved hotel. Now you just need to relax and Day 2 - Machu Picchu prepare yourself for the next day, for an unforgettable adventure awaits you!
After recovering with a delicious breakfast and a good nights sleep, we will board a bus that will take us uphill for 35 minutes to drop us off at the gates of this special place in the world: the archaeological park of Machu Picchu.
We will have to pass various controls (you can get your passport stamped here!), you will finally be able to come face to face with this engineering and architectural marvel. Our expert guide will show you the secrets of Machu Picchu for 2 hours.
We will walk through the main square including: the urban sector, the circular tower, the solar clock, the temple of the three windows, the Inca cemetery among other important places. You will start to get a real feel for what it was like to live in the inca times!
After our guided tour, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own, so don’t worry if you want to go back to a specific place in the citadel, or just take time to relax and enjoy the views.
At the end, we will board a return bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). There you can enjoy this mini-metropolis by either grabbing something to eat or having a dip in the local hot springs.
At the time that we will indicate (18:20 or 19:00) you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo. There, our attentive staff will be waiting for you to transfer you back to the city of Cusco. The unforgettable adventure will have come to its end.
