Get to know the main tourist attractions in the ancient city of Cusco in a comfortable and fun way in our city tour.
Gaze at the incredible architecture the city has to offer and wonder at the fantastic traditional heritage proudly left behind by the cities ancestors.
This tour includes visits to archaeological sacred sites, as well as activities that will bring you in close contact with the local culture.
We will begin this day by picking you up at around 1:00 p.m. from your hotel - please make sure to have an early lunch. We will then take you to the impressive Sun Temple ‘Qorikancha’, a sacred site that was devoted to the Father Sun ‘Tayta Inti’. After burning the site to the ground, the Spanish built the Catholic Church ‘Santa Domingo’ above its ashes.
Later, we will set off to four key historical sites closest to the city: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara y Tambomachay, where you will be able to fully grasp the remarkable ingenuity of Inca engineering and architecture who created these giant constructions in harmony with Mother Earth ‘Pachamama’. We will have time at each site to contemplate and connect with these mystical sites.
Our tour will end at around 7:00 p.m.
